I found your information on the internet and I am contacting you today
regarding a position that we have available. Our customer is really looking
for an expert in Digital Archiving to help them archive information in
various formats at the National Library of Medicine. I was hoping that you
or someone you know may be interested in an opportunity like this. I am also
looking for any help in breaking into the Digital Archiving market. If you
know of anyone who may be of assistance to me I would greatly appreciate you
getting me their contact information. If you have any suggestions as to
where I may be able to post a position like this or any suggestions as far
as resource identification I would appreciate it. It seems that someone of

Compensation: Full Time Annual Salary with Benefits or Hourly
Duration: 1 Year +
Description: The customer is looking to develop a system to archive
documents and files that are currently in various formats and store them in
a unified organized fashion. The Archivist will make recommendations about
technology and implementing best practices and standards for digitization
and preservation of historically significant collections based on experience
and research. Requirements include: strong computer skills for the
organization, storage, and retrieval of archival documents and digitized
collections; three to five years archival management experience in an
institutional / Library setting; proven leadership skills and knowledge of
management techniques; and knowledge of digital libraries including best
practices and standards for digitization and preservation of historically
significant collections. Successful applicant must demonstrate ability to
work with colleagues in collaborative and team environment as well as
independently; evidence of problem-solving skills; excellent oral and
written communications skills. ALA accredited MLS or an international or
work-related equivalent with appropriate coursework and/or certification in
archives management.
