Title: Graphics/ Multimedia Developer

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Libraries invites applications
for a Graphics/Multimedia Designer. The UNLV Libraries operates in
state-of-the-art facilities and is committed to the innovative application
of emerging information technologies.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Web and Digitization Services, this position will
provide in-house graphic design expertise for the UNLV Libraries in the
design, layout and creation of web pages; print publications; logos and art
work; marketing; publicity and informational materials; and signage.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field from an accredited
college or university, and two years of related professional experience are
required. Also required are knowledge of and experience with computer media
design and desktop publishing, a working knowledge of HTML and web-related
design software such as Adobe and Macromedia suites, and experience with
scanning and digital photography. The successful candidate will be
self-motivating, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Other necessary qualities include the ability to collaborate and consult
effectively with other departments and divisions within the Libraries;
willingness to share ideas, expertise and skills; and to train and mentor
other staff. UNLV Libraries operate on a PC platform. Candidates will be
required to submit a portfolio of print and digital design.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with digital video and music formats

Position is contingent upon funding. Salary is commensurate with labor
market. Minimum salary is $38, 159. For more information, see the UNLV
