[Publib] fines policy

**PLEASE EXCUSE THE CROSS POSTING!**

My library is in the process of reviewing our fines policy.  Currently
we charge 25 cents/day/item for all materials except ILL, videos (DVD &
VHS), and video games (we charge $1.00/day/item for them).   We are
interested in hearing from libraries that have decided not to charge
fines for overdue materials.  We are curious about:  

1.	 why you decided not to charge for past due items, 

2.	how long this policy has been in place

3.	do you feel the policy is working for your library.
