Perhaps for in-box - develop a budget on the fly using a set number. Being
able to work backwards
to zero implies a working knowledge of the operating costs and components of
a library and how
they interact.
Circulation scenario - since most interactions with the Director are when a
situation escalates, bring in an irate patron and a flustered staff member.
Reference interview - have them demonstrate the proper reference interview
technique - you could combine virtual resources with traditional to
determine their
knowledge of current information resources.
