[Publib] Anyone Know This Book? (Resending)

I've had a heck of a time sending this in to FICTION_L (shows up as gibberish) and publib (not showing up at all). Maybe that's a sign that I'm not going to have luck with this request. Anyway, retyping again in plain text format (again) and hopefully someone can help me.

I have a patron looking for a book he is pretty sure he read in the past year, but not sure. The following describe what he remembers about the book (or maybe it's a short story...he seems unsure)...

A man and wife murdered their daughter. The wife was sent to prison, the man was not. The wife was released from prison and went to live with another daughter (from a different father...apparently the man and woman got divorced at some point and this other daughter is a product of another marriage/relationship). The man stalks his ex-wife/murderess, tracks her down and when he shows up to kill her, he finds her already dead. He stabs her anyway. Meanwhile the daughter his ex is/was living with, notices him stalking her mom and she's on track to find him out (my patron does not remember if she does). Other details he remembers are that the novel takes place in England, maybe Hyde Park or Brighton. Oh, and the man also has a relationship with a blind receptionist at some point.

Is that enough confusing plot lines for you? The patron seems a little foggy with some details and it seems like he's mixing up several books (he says he reads 2 books a week). Anyway, I've tried searching our catalog, Amazon, WorldCat, Google, various reader's advisory Web sites (we no longer subscribe to Novelist), with absolutely no luck. My patron seems shocked that I cannot find anything by typing in "blind receptionist."

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, would certainly appreciate your feedback.
