[Publib] Skype in the library

I am interested in hearing how other library systems use Skype in adult
programming, YA programming, Children's programming, interviewing job
applicants, training opportunities, etc.

Has any library used Skype in place of an author visit?  If so, have you
seen it as more cost effective since travel and room & board are not
necessary?
