[Publib] A/V in bookdrop

Here, everything goes in the bookdrops -- DVDs, CDs, Playaways, CDBooks,
books, magazines, etc. We've had very few problems with damage to
items.

We also don't use the spring-loaded bookdrop carts -- huge laundry carts
(20-24 bushel, I can't remember exactly) seem to work better.

Subject: [Publib] A/V in bookdrop

Hi all,

We are having a conversation at my library about putting DVDs, CDs,
Books-on-CD and Playaways in the bookdrop. Since Playaways were just
added, I said no to the "don't put in bookdrop" sticker. I have told the
staff that it is my intent to lift the restriction. They are resisting
so I'm conducting an informal fact-finding mission to support my
position. :-)

Do you allow patrons to put all materials in your bookdrop.

If you don't allow a certain type of material in the bookdrop, what is
it and why?

Do you charge patrons that put an item in the bookdrop that is not
allowed?

Thanks,
Mary
