[Publib] Suggestions on good resources for magazine/journal

There is an index for Arizona Highways, but it is not widely held.

Arizona Highways Cumulative Index (Microfilm) 1925-1951 (held by 2 libraries according to WorldCat and (Print) 1952-1988 (held by 20 libraries according to WorldCat). I only know this because I work at an Arizona Library.

Best,
Tina

After Andrea/Jessie posed the question yesterday I had to go out and look. We have the Reader’s Guide back to 1900. RG didn’t pick up Arizona Highways until 1992. I looked at the AH website and though my search was brief, it did not appear that AH has either an index to back articles or very many articles online.

Many libraries still have the Readers’ Guide to Periodical Literature somewhere (perhaps in storage). If your library doesn’t, some other nearby may.
Have I just made a faux pas mentioning a print resource on an electronic medium?

I have a patron that frequently requests indexes for very old magazines and journals. Most recently he was looking for issues of Arizona Highways somewhere around 1935. As far as I can tell our databases are not indexing this far back. Do any of the awesome librarians on this listserv have any ideas, websites or resources to suggest?

Thank you,
