1.       Never wait until the copier or printer runs out of paper to
refill it. Check it at the beginning of your shift.

 

Tom, years ago, the library I worked in had a Xerox photocopier that
would stop every 500 pages and ask that paper be loaded. It didn't help
at all to fill it every day. I don't know if any photocopiers still do
that.

 

And here's another one from beauty salons and, used to be (but alas!)
for grocery store cashiers, too:

 

The customer you're waiting on deserves your full attention. Don't talk
to other customers or employees unless your customer includes them in
his/her conversation.
