Here's a link to the Highwood PL page on the city of Highwood web site courtesy google maps. If anyone has found a better, more authoritative
website for information about this library, please share it.

The page hasn't been unpdated since summer programming was put on. I'd surmise that "trouble in river city" has been roiling for a few months now.
Finding the library page involved added searching from the city's website - more than I expected. The library is treated like the historical society and a community newsletter. I've no other basis for this surmise than the placement and treatment of the library but could it have begun as a private library transferred to the city but remains in some quasi status?
The city of Highwood website provides a link to elected officials - the mayor and city council members. If any other positions are elected they are not named. There are minutes and agendas of council minutes which publibbers who want more information than the Trib article can peruse for more details.
