[Publib] Book Clubs

I might suggest patience! We started our book club two years ago, and it
only now seems viable! In spite of promotion in the library, local
newspapers, and our web page, it seemed like we wouldn't make it. I really
thought about pulling the plug more than once because of low attendance.
But now, finally, participants have been inviting friends, and we've had 10
to 12 at our last two sessions! I am very encouraged! We have it once a
month in the evening, and read group-selected (with input from me) titles of
a fairly wide variety. Nothing fancy--just your normal book group type
titles! Maybe we are getting to know one another, and are having more fun
than at first. For whatever reason, it seems to be working now!
