[Publib] Mother's Day- are you open?

Easter Sunday is not a legal holiday because the federal schedule is
generally Monday-Friday. Strictly Christianity speaking, Easter is
often considered a bigger deal than Christmas. Based on what I can find
on Oregon's state law, although I didn't spend much time reading it,
each Sunday is a legal holiday in Oregon.

Of course we are open on Mother's Day. Also on Easter and Father's Day.
I see no reason why we would close. They are not legal holidays and we
are a public institution. By the way, Sundays are our busiest days per
hour of any day during the week.
I am extremely surprised by the responses that so many libraries are
closed those days!
