We're open seven days a week, though on Sundays it's only 1 - 5:00. We
get paid time and a half for Sundays, but I'd just as soon have that day
off. We're the only library in our area that's open on Sundays.

Subject: [Publib] Open to the Public

At my library we are open to the public five days out of seven: Tuesdays
through Saturday. Mondays we are not open to the public however, most of
the general staff works on Monday through Saturday. There is a debate to
open up the library to the public on Mondays as well, since the argument
is that as a librar we are really required to serve our public. However,
Mondays is the only day staff can get a lot done without interruption.
Sundays we are closed. I wonder if anyone has any ideas about this?
What is your library's policy? I personally would like to remain closed
to the public on Mondays but our director thinks we should change
that...
