We have casual Fridays all year long -- and jeans are acceptable.  Our 
community accepts this very well.

During the summer jeans are permitted any day as long as the staff 
member is wearing a SRP t-shirt, t-shirt with library logo or one that 
pertains to reading and/or libraries.  I have discovered that staff 
enthusiastically wears jeans for the first couple of weeks, then the 
t-shirts start being worn with black or khaki slacks.  By the end of the 
summer many of the staff are only wearing jeans on Fridays!

I have, on occasion, permitted "casual" days during part of December.  
Staff likes this small perk and -- as it has been pointed out -- it's 
easy on the budget.
