Hi, Jillia --

How about picking a selection of letters from The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows? It's not particularly comedic once you get into the story but the variety of characters can be done in different voices which is always enjoyable. reading. The range of situations and emotions is amazing for such a short work.

This is an absolutely delightful book written as an exchange of letters between various individuals in Great Britain and on Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands. The story is set in 1946 so Guernsey is newly liberated from German occupation during WW2. Someone (maybe a publibber?) mentioned this book a while back, and now I'm a fan.
