Well.
The Internet isn't that good a tool for school related research projects.
We would send those doing such research to our non-Internet PCs where they
can use our databases or search our (three million item) shared collection.
For those needing to type up a document or prepare a presentation, we have
non-Internet machines set aside of them too.
Not that one can't do research on the Internet. I am working on a project
involving Sitka, RL Stevenson, the Spanish-American War, South Africa, WWI
and the Marine Corps. A bunch of short pieces on those topics satisficed me.
We do zone use and therefore behavior. The Adult Room is for privacy, quiet
and space. The Commons Area often lacks all three. Gamers tend to use the
Commons Area, while those who like quiet end up in the Adult Room.
Abusive use? That which violates our rules. So choose your rules carefully.
