We have had success with the Hello Mini Mobile Lounge from Haworth
(http://www.haworth.com/Brix?pageID=2060). It comes in a variety of
configurations-with and without a back, arms, etc. We have used ID
12029 on this web at several locations in the browsing areas, and
people seem to like them. This version, with no back or arms, is much
like an upholstered kick stool. By the way, Haworth is available
through U. S. Communities, so government pricing is available.

Subject: [Publib] Chairs for browsing low shelves
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a chair, specifically for
elderly users, to make browsing the lower shelves easier. I was hoping
there was a chair similar to a kick stool out there, but haven't found
one. We are currently using a rolling desk chair, but were hoping for
something that would lock in place when someone sits down. A kick stool
works for me (and my arthritic knees) but isn't too appealing to most
patrons.
