Library Associates Companies (LAC seeks Reference Librarians to work in adult services, young adult services, and children's services for temporary and direct-hire positions throughout the greater Chicago area.

Primary Responsibilities:


 *   Provide Reference Services;
 *   Reader's advisory;
 *   Collection Development;
 *   Programming, assisting and instructing patrons with computer technology;
 *   Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 *   MLS from an ALA-Accredited Institution;
 *   Demonstrated up-to-date reference experience;
 *   Excellent communication skills;
 *   Knowledge of adult collections is essential;
 *   Current library technology including Web 2.0 skills highly desirable;
 *   Ability to function effectively as a team player;
 *   Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.
