It's very irritating to find a genre sticker plastered smack over the title
of a book. Browsing should not require that you pull each book off the
shelf to read the front for the title. I think that's why most libraries
put their stickers on the bottom of the spine.
Just my opinion.

Subject: [Publib] Adult Fiction Genre Sticker placement
We have all heard the phrase spoken by Realtors "location, location,
location".
I think that can apply to Genre stickers on spine labels. Is there a
definitive
answer to that question.
We are making some changes to our Adult Fiction spine labels. Well during
the
discussion someone wonder if the location of our Genre Stickers are in the
most
optimal location. The suggestion was that the upper portion of the spine is
most
likely to catch the eye.
OK. Where are you all placing them???
