[Publib] Library Writing

I was wondering if any of my colleagues out there would be interested in
publishing an online magazine of essay-length book reviews and essays on
library issues. The articles would certainly have to be given peer review and
of course there would have to be the usual editorial board to accomplish
that and similar tasks.

The magazine would consist of serious writing for the serious librarian.
Being online, it would "publish" when articles were released to the site
rather than on a set schedule. I do not envision this becoming a vehicle for
the political vehemence of the moment, nor as a replica of other library
magazines. In fact, there is not an extant example to refer to as a model,
nor has there been for some time. We will pretend that all the intervening
years of poor quality were simply an unfortunate lapse, a belch at a
church picnic.

I write this brief prospectus in the hope of attracting librarians who want
to write stuff of the same quality that they wish to read. Please forward
 as desired.
