Hello:

At the 2009 ALA Annual Conference (June 26 - July 2), all librarians are
invited to attend the program: "The Best of the Best from the University
Presses: Books You Should Know About"

-DATE & TIME: Sunday, July 12th, 1:30 pm

-LOCATION: McCormick Center West, Room 194B

**Learn about great books for your library, and get a chance to win some,
too!

University presses represent an often-undiscovered gold mine of resources
for libraries. At this program, a panel of PLA and AASL-division librarians
will introduce recent titles they have found to be "The Best" for a variety
of reasons. Come discover 21 book titles from a variety of subjects and
presses, and learn why they should be acquired for library collections.

Sponsored Books in the program will cover such diverse subjects as Ancient
Egypt, the American Musical, children's literature, photojournalism, the
Qur'an, family vacations, and Abraham Lincoln.
