Here in southern California, I have found gang signs and names carved into  
library toilet seats.  And so the collective bum of the community  rests 
upon their organizations, day after day.  
 
I should write, "You are an urban librarian if you know how much a bathroom 
 mirror has increased in cost over the years."  Here, they bring carbide  
tools to scratch them with.  Windows are similarly defaced.  When they  can't 
get to freeway signs, they steal fire extinguishers, fill them with paint  
and squirt messages upward.  Two or three of them get electrocuted or die  
in falls every year.  I have more sympathy for murderers.
 
On the bright side, they don't write in books because they don't know what  
those are.
