[Publib] Columns and blogs

I used to do a weekly column for the local daily, but newspapers
haven't got as many column-inches to donate as they had before and
this arrangement folded a couple years ago.  I do, however, have a
weekly blog on the library website and do know from the responses that
it is read by at least some of our users.

I, too, wonder about "librarians as writers" but know that the
participants in Publib are a self-selected exception to my pessimistic
observations.  They don't mind being read.  ;-)
