[Publib] computer time/print management software

We too are using this combo, but I am not that impressed. It was being
used when I arrived 1.5 years ago and although I am not involved in the
technical aspects I do hear the patron and staff complaints. For a while
no one could print .pdfs. Then we upgraded and now people can't print
multiple copies. (Actually we are in the middle of trying to fix that
and we have no printing at all) When it was working I think the LPTOne
worked well.
We have a new management consol (using Vista) but older workstations. In
some of the workstations there is a glitch we have to reset the computer
between each use. We also require registration for Internet use so staff
have to wand the patrons card, then manually make a reservation. We also
use pen and paper for a waiting list. This all (I feel) takes up too
much staff time and should be automated somehow. Part of this problem is
our configuration of having a public and private network. Just some
things to keep in mind.

Donna,
We use Envisionware's PC Reservation and LPT:One solution. We are
extremely happy with it. The system is extremely robust and
customizable, the company is very easy to work with and dedicated to
customer service and keeping their products updated, and our library
customers have had no trouble using it. We've been on the system for
over 2 years now. I highly recommend it. Let me know if you want further
information.

I am trying to research software that manages patrons time on the
computer and print management software, preferably combined. So, would
y'all mind telling me what software you use and the pros and cons. Also,
give me your opinion of it.
Thank you. Donna
