[Publib] audiobooks question

We have both CD and MP3-CD audiobooks at our central library. Other than cost, the major advantage for us is space. MP3-CDs take up less shelf space per title than CD audiobooks do.
Our collections librarian and I just ran circulation statistics for those two collections for July08-June09. Our MP3-CD audiobooks circulated an average of 5.4 times per title during that period, versus an average of 10.1 circs per title for CD audiobooks.
We buy a very small percentage of titles in both formats (primarily classics) and have received few, if any, requests for us to buy a title in one format that we already own in the other format.

Are there any benefits/negatives to MP3-CD over traditional CD audiobooks (other than they are much cheaper)?
Thanks.
