Hit the nail on the head. The goal of a Classics collection is to help
teens find the thinnest book for their required reading. To help moms
so that they can pick out a few for the kid who sent them to the
library. For the teacher so that items that will be acceptable are easy
to find.
For the librarian, it is to get some use out of Dickens and the like
that would languish in the stacks.
I love ours, especially when I can take a parent/teen over and save them
from having to wander through our (very large shared) catalog, which
often has a dozen different editions of classic titles.
