[Publib] Cataloging and circulating paperbacks

     Some years ago when I was finally able to develop a
paperback  collection, I was determined that they would be
cataloged. Mass market  paperbacks are a very important part
of our collection. Cataloging  allows the public, as well as
staff, to search what we own and also  makes them available
to other libraries for interlibrary loan. Mass market 
paperbacks, due to their low cost, allow us to offer many
titles we could not  provide in hardbound, as well as
provide a variety of speculative choices.   I try very hard
to note series information where applicable. Certainly the 
collection can be browsed, but I think they're important
enough to be cataloged.
