Eight public libraries are included within the Dauphin County Library System and we operate as a non-profit corporation with 501 (c)(3) status.
We are currently investigating the possible creation of a technology advisory committee that includes members of private business from within our community.
If you work with or know of any public libraries that have created a Technology Advisory Board Group or Committee to assist with planning or innovation in the area of Information Technology, please contact me.
We are interested in learning:
What role does the technology advisory group play?
What tasks are they charged with?
How does the group incorporate the library's strategic plan into their purpose?
How many public libraries and counties are included within the advisory process?
What is the committee composition? Who did you ask to join the committee?
What are the pros and cons to having the group?
Please send all responses to me on or before February 2.
Warm regards,
