Computer screens are easy to clean.  Computer keyboards are hard to  clean.  
And they get dirty.  You get all sorts of unmentionable  residue between the 
keys, fallen into the keyboard, et cetera.  
 
What to do:
 
You can clean them, and you will.  But the long-term solution is to  replace 
them from time to time.  This may seem expensive, and it is, if you  rely on 
the usual customer supply chain.  Right now I'm typing on a  Microsoft keyboard 
that I bought for a dollar at a thrift store.   New.  They had stacks of 
them.  I should have bought a hundred.  
 
Electronics outlet stores stock keyboards for very low prices; likewise  
online auctions such as Ebay have them.  I just saw some for a penny plus  
shipping.  
 
One note:  don't get any other color but black.  It doesn't show  the dirt as 
much.
