New York State has stopped sending their forms to individuals. They didn't bother to tell the library or the patrons that they were not sending out forms this year. Everybody is coming into the library. We have already run out of forms (We did get more). I'm happy that people are coming into the library; it would have been nice to have had a warning by the state first.
Have other New York libraries seen the influx of taxpayers?
Governor Paterson wants to cut funding to libraries by 18 percent but then gives librarians the added job of printing out tax forms and helping out the patrons.
