I also have to admit to wondering about libraries that report circ's
per capita of 50, 60, or even 100+.
Unless I've got my math wrong, these figures would mean that on
average, every resident in town is checking out a book every 3-7 days.
I know there are some folks who like to read a lot out there, but
considering that most libraries aren't used by 100% of their citizens,
these figures just don't seem realistic to me.
