Our library is applying for development block grant funds for the 
next fiscal year.  The amount of money is around $15,000, and we 
would use it to continue and expand our services to job seekers, as 
the programs that we are running during this economic downturn are 
drawing more and more people.  We are thinking of using some of the 
funds to add a database, Vault.com has been suggested.  However, it 
is pretty expensive and would take out about one quarter of our 
funds.  We are a medium sized library in Connecticut, serving the 
city of Middletown, which has about 44,000 population.  We are also 
the largest library in the county so we serve a great many beyond our 
local area.  For those of you who may have Vault.com and are 
comparable in size, do you find it helpful for people who are job 
hunting or doing career exploration.  Are there other databases that 
might serve us better. As we are on a time deadline any responses 
that can come in the next few days would be appreciated.  I would be 
happy to summarize for the list.
