[Publib] WAPO article on library usage in bad economic times

In Royal Oak Michigan we documented a 60% increase over the previous year in
July 2008.  As of the end of January 2009 we documented another 36% increase
in visitors on the basis of average per day.

When talking to my son yesterday he remarked they were headed to the 

library, "It's a cheap outing for the kids"  They use the library anyway but


more so now.  He is on the East coast.

 

In our small rural town we have also seen a dramatic increase.
