I am posting these questions about PC reservation systems on behalf of a colleague. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Hoping that I can get some additional information for a spreadsheet that I'm putting together. At Pratt, we are thinking about redoing the current policies and procedures we have in place for SAM. (PC Time Management System)

1. Can a customer use the computer if their library card is not in good standing? No, can't owe more than $4.99 or longer than 90 days.
2. Will you look up the customer's barcode and or PIN to allow computer use? Once, with a warning that they'll have to pay for a replacement card next time. What do you write it on? Scrap paper Do customers leave them laying around? Don't know
3. Does your library issue a computer use only card? No If so, is there a charge for this card? Does it expire?
4. Does your library issue visitor/guest passes? Yes To whom are they issued? Anyone w/o a card Is there a fee? $1 for 1/2 an hour, $2 for one hour (daily), may use 15 mins free once every 30 days
5. Does the customer receive free prints with a visitor/guest pass or a computer use only card? No, all prints are 10¢ for b/w and 25¢ for color
