I am posting these questions about PC reservation systems on behalf of a
colleague. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

All,
Hoping that I can get some additional information for a spreadsheet that
I'm putting together. At Pratt, we are thinking about redoing the
current policies and procedures we have in place for SAM. (PC Time
Management System)

1. Can a customer use the computer if their library card is not in good
standing?
2. Will you look up the customer's barcode and or PIN to allow computer
use? What do you write it on? Do customers leave them laying around?
3. Does your library issue a computer use only card? If so, is there a
charge for this card? Does it expire?
4. Does your library issue visitor/guest passes? To whom are they
issued? Is there a fee?
5. Does the customer receive free prints with a visitor/guest pass or a
computer use only card?

Any information you can provide on behalf of your system would be
greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you all at the Nov
Conference.
