[Publib] Translator website??

I do agree that all the translator sites I've used are suspect (although the
game where you translate text, then translate it back, three or four times
to see what you get is *entirely* amusing). That said, since I have a
general grasp of how several languages work and some very basic vocabulary,
I've been able to use translator sites to help me gauge whether my own
guesses are in the right area. (I was, for a time, doing a lot of freelance
writing that dealt with foreign author biographies, and I could typically
identify the birth date and location without help in several languages --
but sometimes the syntax was too complicated to guess without a little
assistance!)
