[Publib] Geolib?

Dear all, 

 

Has anybody been using the Geolib website? 

I visited the website about three months ago, at
<http://www.geolib.org/PLGDB.cfm> www.geolib.org/PLGDB.cfm. Today, I meant
to find out a bit more about the project, and the page is not accessible
anymore. I will write Florida State U about this, as they initiated this
program, but I was wondering what you knew about it. 

 

FYI: From Google cached page of Geolib : “GeoLib's mission is two fold.
First, to improve access to digital geographic information in libraries,
regardless of whether the information is desired by library users or by
library managers. And secondly, to apply marketing solutions to library
problems.”

 

I was mostly interested in the first part: map US libraries. I actually
found out about Geolib as I was looking for a way to map libraries with
French collections in the DC area. Geolib’s maps were exactly what I had in
mind!
