What an interesting thread this has been.  PubLib members on all sides
of
this discussion will probably be interested in an exciting ALA
initiative
being fine tuned as we speak.  The ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom
will
soon kick off the National Conversation on Privacy which will culminate
in
Choose Privacy Week May 2-8, 2010.  More info will be coming from ALA
regarding this but it sounds like a good opportunity to have these types
of
discussions on privacy in our communities as well as in a forum such as
PubLib.  Angela Maycock at the ALA OIF is spearheading this effort and
will
be making more info available later this year.
