[Publib] 1st Amendment Rights

True, but now they can Google me and find everywhere I've commented,
find my blog and read it, know my personal views, etc. And marketers
target me based on verbage in my emails. I've seen ads change based on
what I've just written. I see that when I'm discussing something obscure
with a friend, then an ad pops up with the same theme. It's funny, but
scary.

People could find you in the old days, but now they can find you much
faster, and with much more detail.

Haven't read that book yet.

However, to play devil's advocate. Back in the day when people actually
used phone books, more than likely anyone could have found you, your
address and your phone number all in the phone book, provided that you
were not unlisted. They could have then drove by your house and saw
where you lived.

Would've taken a little more time and they would have to have known what
city you were in (or spent more time looking), but anyone could have
found you before the Internet.
