Just because a site calls itself "Balanced" doesn't mean it is without
bias. The further information links on the healthcare page at
balancedpolitics.com lead to the Heritage Foundation, whose motto is "The
left is on the march, Heritage has the answers," Mona Charen, a columnist
whose book is called, Do-Gooders, How Liberals Harm Those They Claim to Help
- and the Rest of Us," a site called "Americans for Free Choice in Medicine"
which has a very strong "free market" stance and supports "the economic and
moral rights of businesses to make profits as the result of developing and
producing medications, and of their investors to obtain a substantial return
on their investments," and others.
Of course we can learn and inform ourselves by reading others' opinions,
especially if contrary to our own, but just because something says it's
balanced doesn't mean it is.
