[Publib] 1st Amendment Rights

If we knew the full truth of where that info goes, and how it's used, I
think it would astound us. I read this book recently, and it put the
fear of technology into me:

The Peep Diaries: How We're Learning to Love Watching Ourselves and Our
Neighbors by Hal Niedzviecki

Paperback: 256 pages
Publisher: City Lights Publishers (June 1, 2009)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 0872864995

I recommend it, but it's scary. My husband didn't even want to read it.

Any of you could look at my house from all sides. You can Google me, get
my address, and look at my house. My phone number is out there. Anyone
who wants to find me could easily do so. Anyone with any intention.

It doesn't take an Einstein
<http://blog.executivebiz.com/nsa-at-chertoff-weighs-in/3134> to realize
that internet traffic is simply not private. Everything you
send and receive on the internet or transmit over any device can be
compromised. However, forwarding
an e-mail to a government agency effectively removes the burden on the
government to
maintain privacy - it becomes part of the body of information within the
government network.

The Marines
<http://www.computerweekly.com/Articles/2009/08/05/237200/us-marines-are
-social-networking-outcasts.html> recently banned use of social
networks for a year. My sense is that when they
get Einstein 3 up and running, they will be able to deal with the OPSEC
issues that social
networks create and allow limited access again.

I do believe it is important to deal with disinformation and much of the
disinformation
being pushed out there regarding Health Care is manipulated by the
industry's for profit
lobbyists. It is noteworthy how many are using European horror stories
of socialized medicine
that are very hard to verify - rather than Canadian. It is very, very
easy however to verify
US medical horror stories of subscribers to HMOs denied the care they
needed for the
purpose of maintaining and increasing corporate profits.

How did people research this stuff pre-internet, that's what I
want to
know! It's wonderful how we can point to this and that website
and have
	it all at our fingertips.

I appreciate the fire behind all the messages today. It shows
passion,
and that we care. We'll never all agree, and that's not a bad
thing. We
have a two-party system for a reason. Those founding fathers
were pretty
darn smart with the checks and balances.

In a decade we can look back and know what all this was about.
Too bad
we can't see into the future.

I would suggest that everyone also read the info at
http://tinyurl.com/ly6bzk which compares what is said by the
Prez versus

what others around him are saying.....not the same words so they
must be

	on two different pages.

As a last resort to get to the truth of what "America's
Affordable
Health Choices Act of 2009" (H.R. 3200) really will do, read the
text at

	http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d111:H.R.3200:

And regarding 1st Amendment infringement, read the item at
	http://tinyurl.com/nynzzq .

	Enjoy!!
