[Publib] 1st Amendment Rights

It doesn't take an Einstein
<http://blog.executivebiz.com/nsa-at-chertoff-weighs-in/3134>to realize
that internet traffic is simply not private. Everything you
send and receive on the internet or transmit over any device can
be compromised. However, forwarding
an e-mail to a government agency effectively removes the burden on the
government to
maintain privacy - it becomes part of the body of information within the
government network.
The Marines<http://www.computerweekly.com/Articles/2009/08/05/237200/us-marines-are-social-networking-outcasts.html>recently
banned use of social networks for a year. My sense is that when
they
get Einstein 3 up and running, they will be able to deal with the OPSEC
issues that social
networks create and allow limited access again.
I do believe it is important to deal with disinformation and much of the
disinformation
being pushed out there regarding Health Care is manipulated by the
industry's for profit
lobbyists. It is noteworthy how many are using European horror stories of
socialized medicine
that are very hard to verify - rather than Canadian. It is very, very easy
however to verify
US medical horror stories of subscribers to HMOs denied the care they needed
for the
purpose of maintaining and increasing corporate profits.
