Dear Colleagues,

1. Does anyone participate in a blog that is a collaborative between the
library and other local non-profit entities?

2. Does anyone run a community service blog where civic organizations,
e.g., Lions Club, can post their upcoming events along with library events?

One problem with blogs is attracting readers.

I am wondering whether a collaborative blog combining postings events
from the library, city recreational commission, local museum, arts
council, school, chamber of commerce, civic organizations, etc. would be
a sensible solution for everyone to get their message out?

If you want to know what is happening in town, then there is one place
to go.

I am looking for real stories based on real experiences that illustrate
the advantages and disadvantages of such efforts.

Can you give me some?

Thanks,

Chris Rippel
