Subject: [Publib] community collection drives
Hello! In recent months, I've received at least six requests that the
library hold various community drives for needed items. For example, a
book drive for an African library project, cell phones for domestic
violence victims, cat food for the Humane Society, etc.
We're lucky to be *the* community center, and I'd like to entertain
these requests if possible. Does anyone do this? Reasons why or why not
this is a good idea?
Anyone have a policy covering this? I'm thinking of connecting it to our
public display case, which people can reserve for a two week period.
Thanks for your help!
