We use INFORMATION. I think this is a little more clear than REFERENCE,
and accurate. Of course, we still get the occasional question "Can you
give me some information" OR "Is this information"

Subject: [Publib] Better name/signage for 'Reference Desk'?
Hello,
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it in the
Archives.
Is there any consensus about a better/clearer name (that the public
understands) for the Reference Desk? Our remodeled Carnegie requires a
convoluted path to said Reference Desk, and customers are confused
anyway.
Along with that goes the signage issue. If the sign above the desk says
"Ask here" (in attempt at simplicity), is it still called the Reference
Desk?
Thanks for your insight,
