Hi All,
The library I work in does not have such a system. I have mentioned that it would be very helpful especially in the children's department where books are found in the most interesting of places. I suggested taking carts and painting them an eye catching color and putting lots of signs around the room. My suggestions so far have been to no avail.
One of my local libraries does have carts parked in various locations where the books can be left after perusal. I think it is a much better system and is part of the reason why their collection looks nice and neat.
