My wishes are much more mundane.
1. More money to buy more books and to re-subscribe to databases that we have cancelled.
2. More staff, so we can do more than just “the basics”.
3. More time and resources to provide Outreach to the community.

1. An interactive, customer friendly virtual library that offers an experience as close as possible to the experience of visiting a physical library. Live assistance from friendly and knowledgeable staff, a beautiful visual experience, a wide variety of services and materials. New tools and technologies that expand the mind and the imagination - and it is available 24/7.
2. Librarians who know how to teach in an exciting and inspiring way and have a diverse set of skills that they want to help others learn - especially technology and Internet skills but really all skills. (I believe that teaching theory and methods of teaching should be part of any MLS degree).
3. Maybe this is science fiction but I would like to be able to have the ability to print on demand, or something like that, so that no customer would have to wait for a book. We could supply any book at any time for anyone - old, new, out-of-print, with photographs, whatever. Maybe this will be accomplished in the future with something like a Kindle.

Hello,
I am a library student enrolled in a class entitled The Organization of Information. For my class next weekend I would like to know "If you were granted three wishes for your library, what would they be?" Feel free to cite basic needs or grandiose ideas.
Thank you all,
Ann
