He shook his head in disbelief that we would show a movie that talked
about sex (whispered to protect the children), and said (I kid you not)
"Violence I would be okay with, but..."  

 

Jillian, it's interesting that you're in North Carolina. When I was in
graduate school, we were told that southerners disliked "language,"
mid-westerners disliked violence, and that people in the north and in
the west accepted everything. (We're talking about AV here, not print.)

 

I suppose that "shhhhhh, sex" gets lumped in with "language."
