Title:  Children’s Department Manager

Job Responsibilities:  Under general direction, coordinates and directs programs of service to children and provides support to those working with children; develops and proposes service programming, policies and procedures; monitors the quality and effectiveness of existing programs and practices; and maintains close contact with all WCPL leadership involved with children’s collections and services to ensure administration of quality service.

Working Conditions:  Full-time, 40 hours a week.  Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.  We have a new building with a beautiful Children’s Department.

Skills and Abilities to:  Present a positive, professional image to the public; interact and respond appropriately to patrons and staff; develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and staff; communicate effectively in written and oral form; maintain confidentiality.

Pay Range:  $39,520 - $59,186 depending upon qualifications and experience.
