"I would be surprised to read about libraries that permit people to bring 
their pets into the building."

Pet people think their animal is different because, pick one,  "he is so 
cute"  "but he is small"  "but she doesn't shed"  "but I won't be in here 
but a few minutes" "he is my aid dog", this while he was carring the tiny, 
tiny dog and I asked for aid ID which of course he didn't have.

Our "Library Code of Conduct" includes the following:

Inappropriate Library behavior includes, but is not limited to, the 
following:

Bringing animals into the Library with the exception of handicapped aide 
animals.

I would be surprised to read about libraries that permit people to bring 
their pets into the building.
